Barge LaFarge Trader Adrift; Cape Flattery, WA.
Cape Flattery, WA, USA.
1. At 2130 on October 18, NOAA SSC was notified that a tug with tow had lost power and was adrift off Cape Flattery, WA. Tug (Luther) was successfully recovered, but barge (LaFarge Trader) is adrift and unaccounted for. Max potential discharge is 2000 gallons of diesel. USCG requested a spot forecast and trajectory to locate the barge.
2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: CONCRETE.
