Oil Spill in South Lake Hatch Oil Field; Houma, Louisiana.
Houma, LA, USA.
1. 13 MAY: Whitney Oil and Gas notified USCG Houma of a 200ft by 250ft sheen produced by crude oil in the South Lake Hatch oil field. Well was shut in and line isolated. 05 JUN: USCG Houma requested NOAA SSC assistance to determine appropriate clean up methods including consideration of an In situ Burn. NRC Report 1430993.
