Tug MOLLUSK Sinking; Kingston Ferry Dock, Kingston, Washington.
Kingston Ferry Dock, Kingston, WA 98346, USA.
1. At 1310 on November 6, 2025, the NOAA Scientific Support Coordinator (SSC) received a call regarding a vessel sinking near the Kingston Marina in Washington State. The tug Mollusk broke from her anchor and was taking on water near the breakwater. Potential discharge of 1200 gallons of diesel or gasoline are on board. The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) requested trajectory and fate for this incident.
2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: DIESEL OR GASOLINE. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 1200 GALLONS.
