Fishing Vessel Fire off Nantucket, Massachusetts.
1. On the morning of September 16, 2026, U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Marine Safety Unit Cape Cod contacted the NOAA Scientific Support Coordinator (SSC) regarding a commercial fishing vessel fire south of Nantucket, Massachusetts. No pollution was reported at the time but the USCG was requesting potential trajectory information from NOAA.
