LA.
1. Discharge of sweet crude oil from an above-ground tank into the Mississippi River at mile marker 3, caused by a microwave tower that fell and pierced the tank. A pipeline was also breached. The spill occured within the containment berm of the facility. Much of the oil was most likely lost/released/dispersed during the hurricane. Approximately 22,685 barrels were recovered. The entire facility was moved into Stage 3 on 26OCT05.
