1. On October 22, 1985, approximately 10 barrels of asphaltine were spilled when a hose coupling failed from a barge being loaded at the Phina Petroleum facility in Port Arthur, Texas. The heated product spilled into the Sabine River until the pumps were shut down. USCG district 8.
2. COMMODITY: ASPHALTINE. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 420 GALLONS.
