Powell Duffryn; Jersey City, New Jersey. Jersey City, New Jersey. 1. At 1620 on April 21, 1986, a tank truck exploded, killing its driver, and causing a fire which continued for several hours. The truck had been loaded with 4,000 gallons of morpholine and 1,000 gallons of water at the Powell Duffryn facility in Bayonne, New Jersey. USCG district 3. 2. COMMODITY: MORPHOLINE. 3.
