1. On June 16, 1987, the U.S. Coast Guard Marine Safety Office (MSO) in Miami was notified of an oil slick near Molasses Reef in Key Largo. The slick was reported to measure 7.1 nautical miles long by 100 yards wide. USCG district 7.
