Recreational vessel fire and sinking; Chesapeake Island, Maryland.
Chesapeake Island, Maryland.
1. On the night of May 31, 1994, a recreational power boat burned and sank at the mouth of the Bohemia River at Chesapeake Island, Maryland. The weather was clear, winds southwest 15 knots, seas calm, and temperature 82? F. On June 1 the vessel re-ignited and the local fire department again extinguished the fire using foam materials. USCG district 5. Keyword: none.
