Pelto Number 1; offshore of Whiskey Pass, Louisiana. offshore of Whiskey Pass, Louisiana. 1. At about 0630 local time 20 May, a leak was discovered in a pipeline on the oil lease Pelto Number 1 west of the Mississippi delta offshore of Whiskey Pass, Louisiana. A brown oil slick 3/4 mile by 2 1/2 mile is at 29 degrees 00 minutes 31 seconds North, 090 degrees 44 minutes 46 seconds West. Winds are south 10 knots, seas 2 feet. An overflight is in progress.
