O'Niell Tank Batt.; Golden Meadow, LA. Golden Meadow, LA. 1. An abandoned oil production and storage tank facility near Golden Meadow, Louisiana released an unknown amount of crude oil as a result of rain water displacement. Residual oil in the storage tanks has been pumped out and removed from the site. NOAA was contacted by the USCG and asked to participate in assessing cleanup options as well as cleanup criteria. The site is adjacent to a residential area and Bayou Lafourche. A preliminary site visit by NOAA was conducted on Friday (2 July) and a tactical planning meeting is scheduled for Thursday (8 July).
