1. On May 9, 2008, the NOAA Emergency Response Division was contacted by US Coast Guard regarding a grounded barge "Energy 11102" at Bolivar Roads, TX. The 420 foot barge is loaded with more than 100,000 bbls of #2 fuel. There is no indication of a spill at this time but USCG requests weather and trajectory support.
2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: DIESEL FUEL. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 4218522 GALLONS. TAGS: GROUNDING.
