Mystery Sheen; Eugene Island, Block 10, LA. Eugene Island, Block 10, LA. 1. At 1425(PST) NOAA OR&R/ERD was notified of a mystery sheen in the Gulf of Mexico off Eugene Island, LA (Block 10) at: 29° 23' 46.33" N, 091° 46' 36.66" W. This is about 5 nm southeast of Marsh I. The slick/sheen is reported to be 4 miles by 1.25 miles of rainbow sheen. 2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: UNKNOWN- POSSIBLY DIESEL/BILGE. 3. POSITION 29.396N 091.777W.
