1. On the evening of 8 October 2008, USCG MSU Galveston contacted the regional NOAA Scientific Support Coordinator to request support for a grounded red flag barge carrying 23,000 gallons of Light Cycle Oil. The reported location was 29° 31.11’ N Lat. 094° 30.34’ W Long. This position places the grounded barge in the ICW at Rollover Pass on the Bolivar Peninsula. The closest city is Gilchrist, TX.
2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: LIGHT CYSLE OIL. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 26000 GALLONS. TAGS: GROUNDING.
