USCG Helo Crash; La Push, WA. La Push, WA. 1. USCG requested weather support for salvage of a Coast Guard helicopter off James Island near La Push, Wash. The crash occurred on Wednesday, July 7, 2010. La Push is about 100 miles west of Seattle on the Olympic Peninsula. The Jayhawk was flying from Astoria, OR to Sitka, AK. 2. THREAT: OTHER. 3.
