Barataria Bay, LA.
1. On December 27, 2013, the Coast Guard notified the NOAA SSC of a small crude oil spill in Barataria Bay, Louisiana. Some of the product had been drawn into the adjacent waterway by tidal action, staining the wrack line and filling the rip-rap. Clean-up activities are underway and expected to continue through Dec 28.
2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: CRUDE OIL. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 84 GALLONS. TAGS: PIPELINE.
