1. On January 9, 2014, the USCG contacted NOAA SSC about an oil spill in Nederland, Texas which occurred on January 6, 2014. The USCG has requested a hindcast (reverse-trajectory) to help determine if a relationship exists between oil discovered at the Sunoco Oil Dock 1 and a report of shoreline oiling on January 8, 2014 at a marina on Pleasure Island.
