Boat Fire; NW Neah Bay, WA.
NW Neah Bay, WA.
1. On August 3, 2014, the NOAA ERD Duty Officer was notified by the USCG Sector Seattle of a boat fire approximately 4nm NW of Neah Bay, WA. One person was rescued from the burning vessel which then exploded and burned to the waterline. The vessel broke apart and sank at last known location, no sited debris field. Vessel was a 34 foot cabin cruiser. USCG expects all fuels were consumed in the fire.
2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: DIESEL OR GAS.
