Diversified Foods Ammonia Release; Covington, LA. Covington, LA. 1. On October 16, 2015, the NOAA SSC was contacted by USCG Sector New Orleans regarding the release of anhydrous ammonia refrigerant. The amount of the release is unknown, but the USCG requested a model for a 40,000lbs release. 2. THREAT: CHEMICAL. COMMODITY: ANHYDROUS AMMONIA REFRIDGERANT. 3. POSITION 30.467N 090.188W.
