FV Echo; Nelson Lagoon, Alaska. Nelson Lagoon, Alaska. 1. On 29 June 2016, the FV Echo, a 30-foot fishing vessel began taking on water and intentionally grounded on the coast of Bristol Bay, 26 miles southwest of Nelson Lagoon. The maximum potential is 210 gallons of diesel; it is estimated that there are 80 gallons onboard. 2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: DIESEL. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 210 GALLONS. TAGS: GROUNDING. 3.
