Tug boat Potomac; Tappanzee Bridge, NY.
Tappanzee Bridge, NY.
1. On June 30, 2016, the tug boat Potomac sank approximately 100 feet up river of the Tappanzee Bridge. All crew are safe and recovered by nearby boat. The tug remains partially submerged in 9 feet of water. She is carrying approximately 800 gallons of the diesel.
2. THREAT: OIL. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 1000 GALLONS.
