M/V Desert Hope Fuel Discharge; 13201 Patterson Rd, New Orleans, LA 70131, USA. 13201 Patterson Rd, New Orleans, LA 70131, USA. 1. On the morning of January 6, 2017, the M/V Desert Hope discharged 52 gallons of heavy fuel (OMG-380) near Mile Marker 84, Lower Mississippi River, while refueling from a tanker barge. Source is secure. Sector New Orleans contacted NOAA SSC to request fate. 2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: OMG-380. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 52 GALLONS. 3. POSITION 29.892N 089.909W.
