Fieldwood Energy Pipeline; Ship Shoal. Ship Shoal. 1. On February 12, 2017, the MSU Morgan City contacted NOAA in order to request a trajectory of and estimated 56 gallon discharge of crude oil from an offshore pipeline that was reported to have occurred @ 0700CST on 12FEB2017 creating a 2.5mi x .5mi. Sheen. The cause is unknown at this time. 2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: OIL, CRUDE. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 56 GALLONS. 3. POSITION 28.582N 091.206W.
