On January 5, 2022, Sector Houston-Galveston notified NOAA SSC about a broken natural gas wellhead discharging near Atkinson Island, and requested assistance identifying potential RP via ERMA. Phone support was provided. The Wellhead owner was identified as Torrent Oil. The release was secured 2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: NATURAL GAS. 3. POSITION 29.631N 094.955W.
