Hurricane Beryl; Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico.
Matagorda, TX.
1. As of approximately 1700 central time, on July 5, 2024, Beryl was passing over the Yucatan Peninsula. NHC Forecast Trajectory shows the storm making landfall in the Coastal Bend area of Texas sometime Monday morning as a strong Cat 1 hurricane. ERD currently has no requests, but SSC is in contact with Sector Corpus Christi, and is monitoring NHC updates, attending NWS Corpus Christi emergency management calls, and will participate in an NDOW call planned for July 7.
