Chemical Release Port of Seattle; Terminal 5, Seattle, WA. Terminal 5, Seattle, WA. 1. A 6000 gallon tank of DiMethyl Carbonate was punctured on the dock this morning. An estimated 600 gallons of the product has been lost. The tank is over to a drain which empties into the West Duwamish Waterway. Is it estimated that several hundred gallons of DMC has been lost into the water. The SSC has gone on-scene to the command post to provide information on fate and aquatic effects of the lost product. 2. THREAT: CHEMICAL. COMMODITY: DIMETHYL CARBONATE.
