The vessel subsequently sunk near the shoreline in approximately 30FT of water. Marine Safety Detachment Ketchikan pollution investigators initially deployed, via CG25773, and assisted the Responsible Party […]”

The entire cargo of 2500 gallons diesel fuel has been removed from the tank truck. Divers are ensuring all vents remain plugged on the SALTERY PROVIDER after removal of the tank truck. Responsible Party is refining initial salvage plan to incorporate actions for recovery of the vessel and creating a transit plan. Salvage plan will detail using lift bags and a crane to lift and stabilize the SALTERY PROVIDER alongside the barge until pumps […]”

The SALTERY PROVIDER has been raised. Dewatering and lightering operations have secured for the night and will resume on 21 August 2008. Upon completion the boom will be removed from around the vessel and the barge and vessel will transit approximately five hours under escort to Ketchikan for final disposal of the tank truck and repair of the vessel. CASE PENDS.”
