DENMARK. STORE BAELT. BELTREP VESSEL TRAFFIC SERVICE (VTS) SYSTEM:
1. BELTREP VTS, A MANDATORY SYSTEM, COVERS THE NORTH
   AND CENTRAL PARTS OF STORE BAELT (GREAT BELT).
   THIS VTS SYSTEM WILL BE OPERATIONAL 010000Z JUL.
2. THE NORTH LIMIT OF THE VTS IN AREA BOUND BY
   56-00.0N 011-17.0E (SJAELLANDS ODDE),
   56-00.0N 010-56.0E (NEAR MARTHE FLAK),
   56-47.0N 010-387.0E (EAST COAST OF SAMSO),
   55-36.0N 010-38.0E (FYN).
3. THE SOUTH LIMIT OF THE VTS IN AREA BOUND BY
    55-12.0N 011-15.4E (STIGSNAES OIL PIER),
    55-08.4N 011-09.0E (ORESPIDS),
    55-05.0N 011-09.0E (SOUTH OF ORESPIDS),
    55-05.0N 010-56.1E (EAST COAST OF LANGELAND),
    55-00.0N 010-48.7E (WEST COAST OF LANGELAND),
    55-01.2N 010-44.0E (THURO REV LIGHTED BUOY).
4. THE VTS AREA IS DIVIDED INTO TWO SECTORS
   AT LATITUDE 55-35.0N. SECTOR ONE LIES NORTH OF
   THIS LATITUDE AND SECTOR TWO LIES TO THE SOUTH.
5. ALL VESSELS OF 50 GRT AND OVER AND ALL VESSELS
   WITH AN AIR DRAFT OF 15 METERS AND OVER MUST
   PARTICIPATE IN THIS VTS SYSTEM.
6. VESSELS IN SECTOR ONE SHOULD COMMUNICATE WITH
   THE VTS (CALL: GREAT BELT VTS) ON VHF CHANNELS
   16 AND 74. VESSELS IN SECTOR TWO SHOULD
   COMMUNICATE WITH THE VTS (CALL: GREAT BELT VTS)
   ON VHF CHANNELS 16 AND 11. ALL VESSELS IN THE
   VTS AREA MUST MAINTAIN A CONTINUOUS LISTENING WATCH.
7. THE LANGUAGE USED FOR COMMUNICATION SHALL BE ENGLISH.
   IMO-STANDARD MARINE PHRASES SHOULD BE USED
   WHERE NECESSARY.
8. VESSELS ENTERING THE VTS AREA MUST SUBMIT A
   FULL REPORT WHEN CROSSING THE LIMIT LINES OR
   ON DEPARTURE FROM A PORT WITHIN THE AREA.
9. VESSELS CROSSING THE LINE BETWEEN SECTOR ONE
   AND SECTOR TWO MUST SUBMIT A SHORT REPORT.
   THIS REPORT SHOULD INCLUDE THE VESSELS NAME,
   CALL SIGN, IMO NUMBER, AND POSITION.
10. ADDITIONAL REPORTS MUST BE MADE WHENEVER THERE
    IS A CHANGE IN NAVIGATIONAL STATUS OR CIRCUMSTANCES.
11. REPORTS TO THE VTS SHOULD BE MADE USING VHF VOICE
    TRANSMISSIONS. HOWEVER, VESSELS CAN FULFIL CERTAIN
    REPORTING REQUIREMENTS THROUGH THE USE OF AIS.
    THE FULL REPORT MAY BE SUBMITTED BY USING A
    COMBINATION OF VOICE AND NON-VERBAL MEANS.
    VESSELS MAY SELECT, FOR REASONS OF COMMERCIAL
    CONFIDENTIALITY, TO COMMUNICATE THAT PART OF
    THEIR REPORT WHICH PROVIDES INFORMATION ON THE
    NEXT PORT OF CALL BY NON-VERBAL MEANS PRIOR TO
    ENTERING THE AREA.
12. THE FULL REPORT TO THE VTS SHOULD USE THE
    FOLLOWING PREFIXES AND BE IN THE FOLLOWING IMO FORMAT:
    A. VESSEL: NAME, CALL SIGN, AND IMO NUMBER.
    C. POSITION: A FOUR-DIGIT GROUP FOR LATITUDE
       SUFFIXED WITH N AND A FIVE-DIGIT GROUP FOR
       LONGITUDE SUFFIXED WITH E.
    I. NEXT PORT OF CALL.
    L. ROUTE.
    O. DRAFT (IN METERS).
    Q. ANY DEFECTS OR DEFICIENCIES AFFECTING NAVIGATION
       OR MANEUVERABILITY.
    U. DEADWEIGHT AND AIR DRAFT.
13. INFORMATION OF INTEREST TO SHIPPING IN THE VTS
    AREA WILL BE GIVEN ON REQUEST OR WILL BE BROADCAST
    ON A VHF CHANNEL SPECIFIED BY THE VTS. PRIOR TO THE
    BROADCAST AN ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE MADE ON VHF
    CHANNEL 16. ALL VESSELS IN THE AREA SHOULD LISTEN
    TO THE BROADCAST.
14. THE VTS CAN PROVIDE NAVIGATIONAL ASSISTANCE TO
    INDIVIDUAL SHIPS, INCLUDING THE RECOMMENDATION OF
    SUITABLE ANCHORAGES. SUCH ASSISTANCE WILL BE MADE
    ON VHF CHANNEL 10 OR OTHER CHANNELS AS ASSIGNED.
