WESTERN SOUTH PACIFIC. NEW ZEALAND. DNC 06. FLARES SIGHTED IN VICINITY 38-43.80S 178-17.74E AT 231500Z APR. VESSELS IN VICINITY REQUESTED TO KEEP A SHARP LOOKOUT, ASSIST IF POSSIBLE.
