Sunken Barge; Garyville, LA. Garyville, LA. 1. On October 25, 2015, the USCG Sector NOLA notified the NOAA SSC of a sunken barge containing 1,200 tons of petroleum coke (petcoke) at Lower Mississippi River (LMR) Mile Marker 140. The barge is reported to be RP secure, currently tied up at the dock, and no product was released. 2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: PETROLEUM COKE. 3. POSITION 30.049N 090.591W.
