1. On November 1, 2015, the USCG Sector New Orleans notified the NOAA SSC about a transformer oil spill that occurred at the 2400 Block of Barataria Blvd as the result of an explosion of power equipment (3 regulators) at approximately 0100. USCG reports that approximately 100/300 gallons of potential PCB containing transformer oil was discharged from the damaged regulators and into an adjacent storm drain leading to the Harvey canal system.
2. THREAT: OIL. COMMODITY: TRANSFORMER OIL / PCBS. MAXIMUM POTENTIAL RELEASE: 100 GALLONS. TAGS: COLLISION.
