Offshore wind farm
Construction or maintenance at an offshore wind farm: turbine foundations, jack-up vessels and export cables.
Offshore wind construction brings jack-up installation vessels, cable-laying ships and partly built foundations, often unlit, into areas that were open water. Warnings describe the work, the vessels and any safety zones — commonly 500 metres around construction activity — and later the new structures and their lights.
In the North Sea, the Baltic and off the U.S. East Coast, wind-farm warnings have become a steady part of the archive; their count by year traces the build-out.
