ARCTIC. BARENTS SEA. DNC 22. 1. SEISMIC SURVEY IN PROGRESS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE BY M/V POLARCUS ADIRA TOWING 12 9000 METER LONG CABLES IN AREA BETWEEN 73-43N 73-02N AND 029-00E 024-30E. SEVEN MILE BERTH REQUESTED. 2. CANCEL HYDROARC 72/15.
Reading this warning
- DNC (Digital Nautical Chart)
- A reference to one of the regions of NGA's Digital Nautical Chart, used to tell the reader which charts a warning affects.
- Seismic survey
- A survey that maps the rock beneath the seabed with sound pulses from air guns, recorded on streamers kilometres long.
