WESTERN MEDITERRANEAN SEA. TYRRHENIAN SEA. TWO VESSELS, 45 PERSONS ON BOARD, DISABLED AND ADRIFT VICINITY SARDINIA SOUTH COAST. Reading this warning
- Persons on board (POB)
- The number of people reported aboard a vessel in distress, overdue or missing.
- Adrift
- Loose and moving with wind and current — a vessel, container, buoy, log or anything else no longer secured.
- Keep a sharp lookout
- A request to every ship in the area to watch for the vessel, people or object described.
- Assist if possible
- The second half of the standard rescue request: ships able to help are asked to do so.
