MEDITERRANEAN SEA.
1. NATO EXERCISE BRILLIANT MARINER 2013 (BRMR / MA 13)
   23 SEP THRU 06 OCT. NUMEROUS MILITARY UNITS WILL
   OPERATE IN AREA BOUND BY
   40-39N 018-00E, 40-39N 018-46E,
   37-40N 018-46E, 36-22N 015-30E,
   36-22N 011-30E, 38-00N 010-00E,
   38-00N 007-30E, 41-20N 007-30E,
   41-20N 013-00E.
2. NATO FORCES REGULARLY EXERCISE TO SECURE INNOCENT PASSAGE
   OF MERCHANT SHIPPING. MERCHANT VESSELS WITHIN OR
   TRANSITING THESE AREAS ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE
   ON A NO-COST / NO DELAY BASIS. ANY VESSEL WISHING
   TO ASSIST BY PROVIDING BOARDING AND/OR CLOSE ESCORTING
   OPPORTUNITIES IS REQUESTED TO CONTACT
   THE NATO SHIPPING CENTRE (NSC) AT LEAST 24 HOURS
   IN ADVANCE OF ARRIVAL IN THE EXERCISE AREAS,

3. VESSELS ARE REQUESTED TO PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:

   D. PREFERRED METHOD OF CONTACT
      (EX. PHONE, E-MAIL OR INMARSAT).
   E. DTG (UTC) / POSITION / SPEED / COURSE.
   F. NEXT PORT OF CALL / ETA.
4. VESSELS WITHIN OR APPROACHING THE EXERCISE AREAS MAY
   BE CONTACTED BY NAVAL UNITS AND BY THE
   BOARDING COORDINATOR (BC) AT NATO HQ.
5. CANCEL THIS MSG 07 OCT 13.
