1. SEISMIC SURVEY BY M/V HAWK EXPLORER TOWING
   12000 METER LONG CABLES:
   A. IN PROGRESS UNTIL 27 MAR ALONG TRACKLINE BETWEEN
      33-36.02S 050-11.48W AND 34-31.08S 051-09.97W.
   B. 28 AND 29 MAR ALONG TRACKLINE BETWEEN
      30-50.28S 049-51.93W AND 34-45.43S 050-50.37W.
   SIX MILE BERTH REQUESTED.
2. CANCEL THIS MSG 30 MAR 13.

Seismic survey
A survey that maps the rock beneath the seabed with sound pulses from air guns, recorded on streamers kilometres long.
Towed array / streamer
Equipment towed a long way behind a vessel — sonar, a hydrophone cable, a sampling sled — invisible at the surface.
Tow / towing
A vessel towing another vessel, a barge or a structure — slow, hard to manoeuvre, and with a long line between.
Track line joining
