NORTH PACIFIC. NGA CHART 97521 (6TH ED). 1. DISCOLORED WATER AND DRIFTING OBJECTS WITH SUBMARINE VOLCANIC ACTIVITY REPORTED IN 24-17.3N 141-28.8E AT 070325Z FEB. 2. CANCEL HYDROPAC 221/10.
Reading this warning
- Chart reference
- The number of the nautical chart on which the reported position lies.
- Discoloured water
- Patches of unusually coloured sea — often a sign of a submarine volcano or of a shoal.
- Adrift
- Loose and moving with wind and current — a vessel, container, buoy, log or anything else no longer secured.
- Volcanic activity
