BANDA SEA. AN EARTHQUAKE OCCURRED AT 241047Z OCT WITH A PRELIMINARY MAGNITUDE OF 6.6, IN 07-36S 123-08E. A TSUNAMI MAY HAVE BEEN GENERATED. TSUNAMI WAVES ARE POSSIBLE ALONG SOME COASTS. TSUNAMI WAVE HEIGHTS CANNOT BE PREDICTED AND MAY BE A SERIES OF WAVES WHICH COULD BE DANGEROUS FOR SEVERAL HOURS AFTER THE INITIAL WAVE ARRIVAL.
