1. SEISMIC SURVEY IN PROGRESS UNTIL 26 MAR BY
   M/V AKADEMIK FERSMAN TOWING 4500 METER
   LONG CABLE IN AREA BOUND BY
   19-33N 086-27E, 19-16N 086-45E,
   18-43N 086-01E, 19-05N 085-42E.
   FOUR MILE BERTH REQUESTED.
2. CANCEL THIS MSG 27 MAR.

Seismic survey: A survey that maps the rock beneath the seabed with sound pulses from air guns, recorded on streamers kilometres long.
Towed array / streamer: Equipment towed a long way behind a vessel — sonar, a hydrophone cable, a sampling sled — invisible at the surface.
