1. SEISMIC SURVEY 21 APR THRU 10 JUL BY M/V WESTERN LEGEND TOWING EIGHT THREE MILE LONG CABLES IN AREA BOUND BY 24-57N 056-29E, 25-52N 056-29E, 25-53N 056-51E, 24-57N 056-51E. FIVE MILE BERTH REQUESTED. 2. CANCEL THIS MSG 11 JUL.

- Seismic survey
- A survey that maps the rock beneath the seabed with sound pulses from air guns, recorded on streamers kilometres long.
- Towed array / streamer
- Equipment towed a long way behind a vessel — sonar, a hydrophone cable, a sampling sled — invisible at the surface.
