NORTHERN INDIAN OCEAN. DNC 03. 1. SEISMIC SURVEY 01 THRU 25 MAR BY M/V GEO HINDSAGAR TOWING FIVE MILE LONG CABLE IN AREA BETWEEN 01-40N 00-40N AND 076-50E 091-40E. EIGHT MILE BERTH REQUESTED. 2. CANCEL HYDROPAC 380/15(61,63,71). 3. CANCEL THIS MSG 26 MAR 15.
Reading this warning
- DNC (Digital Nautical Chart)
- A reference to one of the regions of NGA's Digital Nautical Chart, used to tell the reader which charts a warning affects.
- Seismic survey
- A survey that maps the rock beneath the seabed with sound pulses from air guns, recorded on streamers kilometres long.
