SEISMIC SURVEY IN PROGRESS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE BY M/V GEO SEARCHER TOWING 10700 METER LONG CABLES ALONG TRACKLINE JOINING 54-03.1S 066-43.5W, 53-44.1S 065-14.4W, 53-41.5S 063-58.5W, 53-32.1S 062-43.7W. SEVEN MILE BERTH REQUESTED. 2. CANCEL HYDROLANT 112/09(35), AID RESTORED. 3. CANCEL HYDROLANT 134/09.
Reading this warning
- Seismic survey
- A survey that maps the rock beneath the seabed with sound pulses from air guns, recorded on streamers kilometres long.
- Until further notice
- The operation or danger has no scheduled end; the warning stays in force until a later message cancels it.
- Towed array / streamer
- Equipment towed a long way behind a vessel — sonar, a hydrophone cable, a sampling sled — invisible at the surface.
