NORTH SEA. DNC 20. 1. SEISMIC SURVEY IN PROGRESS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE BY M/V RAMFORM CHALLENGER TOWING 12 7500 METER LONG CABLES IN AREA BETWEEN BY 59-37.8N 60-08.8N AND 000-16.2E 001-17.2E. SIX MILE BERTH REQUESTED. 2. CANCEL HYDROLANT 1386/15.
Reading this warning
- DNC (Digital Nautical Chart)
- A reference to one of the regions of NGA's Digital Nautical Chart, used to tell the reader which charts a warning affects.
- Seismic survey
- A survey that maps the rock beneath the seabed with sound pulses from air guns, recorded on streamers kilometres long.
- Until further notice
- The operation or danger has no scheduled end; the warning stays in force until a later message cancels it.
