1. SEISMIC SURVEY IN PROGRESS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE BY M/V SAGAR SANDHANI TOWING 3000 METER LONG CABLE IN AREA BOUND BY 20-18.7N 072-06.7E, 20-24.2N 072-12.3E, 20-17.7N 072-16.7E, 20-15.0N 072-09.1E. THREE MILE BERTH REQUESTED. 2. CANCEL HYDROPAC 58/01.
Reading this warning
- Seismic survey
- A survey that maps the rock beneath the seabed with sound pulses from air guns, recorded on streamers kilometres long.
- Until further notice
- The operation or danger has no scheduled end; the warning stays in force until a later message cancels it.
- Towed array / streamer
- Equipment towed a long way behind a vessel — sonar, a hydrophone cable, a sampling sled — invisible at the surface.
