1. SEISMIC SURVEY IN PROGRESS UNTIL 31 JAN BY
   M/V WESTERN TRIDENT AND M/V WG VESPUCCI
   TOWING TEN 5.3 MILE LONG CABLES
   IN AREA BOUND BY
   26-25N 035-44E, 26-35N 036-06E,
   26-28N 036-14E, 25-57N 036-33E,
   25-44N 036-09E.
   SEVEN MILE BERTH REQUESTED.
2. CANCEL HYDROPAC 2041/10.
3. CANCEL THIS MSG 01 FEB 2011.

Seismic survey
A survey that maps the rock beneath the seabed with sound pulses from air guns, recorded on streamers kilometres long.
Tow / towing
A vessel towing another vessel, a barge or a structure — slow, hard to manoeuvre, and with a long line between.
