NORTH PACIFIC. HAWAII. TSUNAMI WARNING. 1. AN EARTHQUAKE OCCURRED AT 280304Z OCT WITH A PRELIMINARY MAGNITUDE OF 7.7 VICINITY 52-48N 131-48W. A TSUNAMI HAS BEEN GENERATED WHICH COULD CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE COASTAL AREAS OF HAWAII. TSUNAMI WAVE HEIGHTS CANNOT BE PREDICTED AND MAY BE A SERIES OF WAVES WHICH COULD BE DANGEROUS FOR SEVERAL HOURS AFTER THE INITIAL WAVE ARRIVAL. 2. CANCEL NAVAREA XII 281/12(GEN).
